The starter kit in the Microtorch range is the Base or Starter set which uses one Miniflam oxygen cylinder and a GP Vapour gas cylinder. Like the other torches in the range it also has a pen sized handpiece with hoses and interchangeable tips.
The Microtorch 2 is probably the most popular in the range consisting of a distributor which holds two Miniflam oxygen and one GP Vapour gas cylinder but also has a guage which shows the oxygen status. It also include a handpiece with hoses, a handpiece stand and a range of changeable tips. This unit comes supplied with one CP Vapour and two Miniflam oxygen cylinders.
The Microtorch 3 is made to run off the rented oxygen cylinders and a 2kg LPG cylinder and is designed for heavier useage. It also has an on/off switch and a Piezo powered handpiece stand, so that the user can turn the torch on and off to the same flame setting with no need for adjustment.
The Microtorch 3 can also be supplied fitted with hoses to screw onto an oxygen regulator and the LPG cylinder at an extra cost. An oxygen regulator and a LPG pressure reduction regulator may be required to run this unit. It is widely used in jewellery manufacturing and where a heavy workload is present.
